MD25 Encoder Value

Postby pelotudo » Tue Jun 19, 2012 5:05 pm

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the output of the MD25 controller.

I have seen that the encoder counts per output shaft turn of the EMG 30 motor is 360.

Now, the 32bit number (4Bytes) that one get as encoder 1 or 2 value from the MD25 controller, does it represent exactly the encoder count of the EMG30 or does the MD25 process this number and output the number of rotations?

For example, if I send a "get encoder 1" command to the MD25 and receive 10 as answer. Does it mean that the shaft has done 10/360 rotations or that it has done 10 full rotations?

Thank you

10/360 rotations
If you read 360, that means it has done 1 rotation.
