KXPS5 Accelerometer

Hi, I'm not sure if I can post questions about products not sold by Robot Electronics, but I had to purchase the sensor in question elsewhere because Robot electronics unfortunately couldn't supply me with one. My question is, has anyone ever coded in C# (using raw .Read .Write commands to a fake USB serial port) for the following tri axis accelerometer?

I haven't a clue where to start.. I have finally got my SD21 board controlling servos (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=235), and would like to control this sensor also using C#. I was pointed at this link with some C++ code examples, but am unable to make head nore tail of it.
