We’re working on a new UK robot competition called Robot Idol, which is being supported by Microsoft.
The competition is one of the many initiatives by Microsoft in robotics and it aims to showcase some of the most inventive robot creations built by aspiring robot makers, with two prizes of £500 or £250 to be spent at named online UK robot retailers. There are two categories you can enter: Robot Idol and Robot Blueprint open to residents of the UK.
Robot Idol is all about showing off your robot, so why not upload a picture, highlight the unique capabilities and submit your entry via the website http://iloverobots.wotudo.net/
The robots are voted on by the public and votes from your friends and family are also welcome.
In Robot Blueprint you can submit your ideal robot design... These designs will be judged by a panel of experts, who will be looking for the most ingenious ideas
The competition is still open so feel free to enter, or just to admire some of the early entries.
